Regular biography
Prof. Han Linhai is a Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Tsinghua University. His research focuses on steel-concrete composite and hybrid structures, with significant contributions to their engineering practices, standardization, and education. He has authored 265 peer-reviewed papers and seven books. Prof. Han has led the development of the international standard ISO 16521:2024 and the national standard GB/T 51446-2021. He is the Editor-in-Chief of GB/T 51446-2021 and chairs the technical subcommittee ISO/TC 71/SC 9. He has supervised 46 PhD students and held leadership roles at Tsinghua University and Guangxi University. His work has influenced numerous large-scale infrastructure projects worldwide.
