Yaser S. Abu-Mostafa is a Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the California Institute of Technology, Department of Electrical Engineering. His research focuses on the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to medical applications, including non-invasive blood pressure measurement, detection of congestive heart failure, and early detection of mini clots in the bloodstream. His work involves developing AI-driven solutions to address challenges in medical diagnostics and treatment. He has been affiliated with Caltech since 1994 and has contributed to various projects, including collaborations with UCSF and the development of a Caltech patent.
