Regular biography
Andrei Faraon is the William L. Valentine Professor of Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering and Fletcher Jones Foundation Director of the Kavli Nanoscience Institute at the California Institute of Technology. He is affiliated with the Electrical Engineering department. His research interests include solid state quantum optics and nano-photonics, with applications in quantum information processing, on-chip optical signal processing at ultra-low power levels, energy efficient sensors, and bio-photonics. Faraon has held various positions at Caltech, including Visiting Associate, Assistant Professor, Professor, and Valentine Professor.
