Regular biography
Joshua Hug is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (EECS) at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on Education (EDUC), with an emphasis on generative art and teaching methodologies. He teaches courses such as CS 61B, Data Structures, and CS 70, Discrete Mathematics and Probability Theory. Hug is also involved in research support through Natalie Chen. His work has been recognized with several awards, including the UC Berkeley Distinguished Teaching Award in 2023 and the Jim and Donna Gray Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching of Computer Science in 2018.
