Armando Fox

Armando Fox is a Professor in the Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Department at the University of California, Berkeley. His research spans Programming Systems (PS), Education (EDUC), and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). He is also the Faculty Advisor for Digital Learning Strategy in the office of the Vice Chancellor for Undergraduate Education (VCUE). Fox co-designed and co-taught Berkeley's first Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) and serves as Faculty Advisor to the MOOCLab. He is a member of edX's Technical Advisory Committee. In 2015, he received the ACM Karl V. Karlstrom Outstanding Educator Award for his contributions to MOOCs and software engineering education. He is passionate about diversity in computing and serves in several equity-related roles at UC Berkeley.
