Alvin Cheung is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley. His research focuses on Database Management Systems (DBMS) and Programming Systems (PS). He is affiliated with several research centers, including EPIC Data lab (EPIC), Sky Computing Lab (Sky), and SpeciaLIzed Computing Ecosystems (SLICE). Cheung teaches courses such as CS 186: Introduction to Database Systems.
