Hyojeon Kim is a Research Asst. Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CE) at KAIST. Their research focuses on environmental engineering, specifically membrane-based water treatment, analysis of wastewater reuse and industrial water processes, and the properties of organic matter. Kim holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from KAIST, completed in 2021, and has a background in civil engineering from Kyung Hee University, where they earned both a master's and bachelor's degree. They are currently a research assistant professor at KAIST, having joined in 2023. Their work contributes to advancing sustainable water management solutions.
