Regular biography
Professor Kang, Seoktae is affiliated with the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CE) at KAIST. His research focuses on Environmental Water Engineering, with an emphasis on sustainable water and energy technologies. He leads the Sustainable Water Environment and Energy Technology (SWEET) laboratory, which explores the environmental applications of nanotechnology and 3D printing for water production, reuse, and renewable energy. His work includes biofouling mechanisms, antifouling strategies, and the biological conversion of waste to valuable resources. Professor Kang holds a Ph.D. from KAIST and has held academic positions at Yale University, the University of Alberta, and Kyung Hee University.
