Kirsten Emilie Moselund

Kirsten Emilie Moselund is a Professor at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Department of Electrical Engineering (EE). She leads the Integrated Nanoscale Photonics and Optoelectronics Laboratory. Her research focuses on nanoscale photonics, optoelectronics, and quantum technologies. She is also involved in the Quantum Science and Engineering center at EPFL and the ETHZ-PSI Quantum Computing Hub at the Paul Scherrer Institut. Moselund holds a M.Sc. in Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark and a Ph.D. in Microelectronics from EPFL. She has contributed to various research projects and is the author of over 100 publications and 25 patents.

Kirsten Moselund is a Professor at EPFL and Head of laboratory PSI, specializing in the integration of III–V materials with silicon for advanced electronics and optoelectronics. Her research focuses on the development of nanoscale devices, including tunnel field-effect transistors (TFTs), photodetectors, and heterojunction structures. She explores techniques such as template-assisted selective epitaxy and direct wafer bonding to enable heterogeneous integration. Her work addresses challenges in high-performance electronics, neuromorphic computing, and optoelectronic integration. Moselund's research emphasizes the fabrication and characterization of nanowire-based devices, including InAs–Si heterojunctions and GaAs microdisks on silicon.
