David Atienza Alonso is a Professor at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Department of Electrical Engineering (EE). His research focuses on embedded systems design, including Internet of Things (IoT) and edge computing, 2D/3D thermal modeling for multi-processor system-on-chip (MPSoc), electronic design automation (EDA), wireless body sensor networks (WBSN), memory optimizations, low-power hardware and software co-design, and software mapping for embedded machine learning.
