Nako Nakatsuka is a Professor at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Department of Electrical Engineering (EE). She leads the Laboratory of Chemical Nanotechnology (CHEMINA) and focuses on developing translational chemical biosensing technologies to advance human health. Her research spans chemistry, engineering, and neuroscience, with an emphasis on monitoring small molecules in complex biofluids. She has published extensively in top-tier journals and has been recognized with several awards, including the MIT Under 35 Pioneer (2021), the iCanX Young Scientist award (2022), and the ACS Nano Lectureship Award (2023).
