Regular biography
Susan McLaughlin is a Lecturer in the Practice of Management at Yale School of Management. Prior to joining Yale in August 2023, she had a 30-year career at the New York Fed, where she worked on monetary policy implementation, FX reserves management, financial market structure, payments policy, lender of last resort operations, and sovereign debt management. She also served as Head of the Discount Window and led the Fed’s reform of the triparty repo market. McLaughlin holds an MBA and MPP from the University of Michigan and an AB from Oberlin College. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and serves as a technical assistance advisor to the International Monetary Fund and the U.S. Treasury.
