Miguel Cardona is a Lecturer in Management at Yale University's School of Management. Prior to his academic role, he served as the 12th U.S. Secretary of Education, where he focused on school reopening, higher education accountability, and student access. He has spoken at numerous universities and collaborated with organizations like Brookings Institute and TIME magazine. Cardona is a Resident Fellow at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and will be a fellow at Yale’s School of Management in 2026. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Central Connecticut State University and an EdD from the University of Connecticut. He is also a board member of the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz and the USC Schwarzenegger Institute of Policy.
