Sigríður Benediktsdóttir

Sigríður Benediktsdóttir is a Lecturer in Management at Yale University’s School of Management. Her research focuses on international finance, particularly Central Banks and financial stability. She holds a Bachelor of Science in economics and computer science from the University of Iceland, and a doctoral degree in economics from Yale, completed in 2005 with a concentration in finance and econometrics. Prior to her current role, she served as Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Education at the Jackson School of Global Affairs at Yale and held various positions including Director of the Financial Stability Department at the Central Bank of Iceland and a voting member of the Danish Systemic Risk Council. She also contributed to the IMF Financial Stability Assessment Program for the UK and was part of the Parliamentary Special Investigation Commission on the Icelandic banking collapse. She teaches part-time in the Yale School of Management’s Master’s in Systemic Risk program.
