Benjamin Polak is a Professor of Economics at Yale University's School of Management. His research focuses on game theory, with contributions spanning foundational theoretical work and applied topics in corporate finance and law and economics. He has also explored economic inequality and individuals' responses to uncertainty. Polak's recent work includes studies on repeated games with asymmetric information and an empirical project examining industrial organization during the English industrial revolution. He has received several teaching awards, including the Lex Hixon '63 Prize for Teaching Excellence in the Social Sciences and the William Clyde DeVane Medal for undergraduate teaching and scholarship.
