Faidra Monachou

Faidra Monachou is an Assistant Professor of Operations Management at the Yale School of Management. Her research focuses on market design and operations for public policy, particularly in education. She employs mathematical tools from operations research, economics, and data science to develop operational, technological, and policy interventions that balance efficiency and fairness. Her work has been recognized with awards, including the Best Paper with a Student Presenter Award at the ACM EAAMO conference and first place in the inaugural INFORMS DEI Best Student Paper competition. Monachou holds a PhD in Operations Research from Stanford University and completed her undergraduate studies in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens in Greece. Prior to joining Yale, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University.
