James A. Levinsohn

James A. Levinsohn is a Professor in Global Affairs at Yale University's School of Management. His research focuses on international economics, industrial organization, economic development, and applied econometrics. Recent work includes estimating the impacts of internal migration on household well-being in South Africa and the demand for sanitation in Bangladesh. He has published on trade policy, youth employment policy, and the global corporation. Levinsohn is the founding Director of Yale’s Jackson School of Global Affairs, overseeing the Global Affairs major in Yale College, the Global Affairs MA programs, and Yale’s World Fellows Program.
