Anjani Jain is a Professor in the Practice of Management at Yale School of Management. His research focuses on manufacturing systems, optimization algorithms, and probabilistic analysis of combinatorial problems. Jain has published on telecommunications network design and the impact of product variety on manufacturing and design, particularly in the automobile industry. He joined Yale SOM after a 26-year tenure at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he taught operations management and management science at multiple levels. His academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in physics and mathematics from Indore University, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and a PhD in operations research from the University of California, Los Angeles.
