Stanley Osher

Stanley Osher is a Distinguished Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, affiliated with the Department of Computer Science. His research interests include applied mathematics, numerical methods for PDEs, and level set methods with applications to image processing. He is also a Professor of Mathematics and holds a PhD from New York University. Osher has received several awards, including the NAS Membership, the SIAM Kleinman Prize, and the ICIAM Pioneer Prize.
