Regular biography
Xiang Anthony Chen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of California, Los Angeles. His research focuses on human-computer interaction, sensing and interaction techniques, intelligent user interfaces, computational design, and fabrication. Chen's work has been recognized with multiple best paper awards and honorable mentions at top-tier HCI conferences. He received his Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University in 2017 and has contributed to notable publications such as OralCam and WrisText. His research mission is to expand the interaction bandwidth between human and AI, aiming for human-AI collaboration.
