Regular biography
Prof. Dr. rer. nat. habil. Martin Brokate is a professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Technical University of Munich. He has been associated with the university since October 1, 2018, and is currently retired. His research interests include mathematical analysis, differential equations, and optimization. Brokate has contributed to various academic publications and has taught a wide range of mathematics courses, including Analysis, Functional Analysis, and Partial Differential Equations. His work has focused on topics such as hysteresis, nonlinear problems, and evolution equations. He is affiliated with the School of Computation, Information and Technology at TUM.
