Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Boris Vexler is a professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Technical University of Munich. His research focuses on numerical analysis, particularly in the areas of optimal control and partial differential equations. He is the chair of the Optimal Control group and teaches courses such as Analysis 1 and 2, Numerical Methods for Partial Differential Equations, and Nonlinear Optimization. His work includes publications on error estimates for finite element discretizations and optimal control problems.
