Michael Ulbrich

Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Michael Ulbrich is a professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Technical University of Munich. His research focuses on Optimization Theory and Methods, Optimal Control and Parameter Identification, and Numerical Analysis. He is the Chair of Mathematical Optimization and holds the email address m.ulbrich@tum.de. Ulbrich is also affiliated with the School Council of the CIT and has served as Head of the Department of Mathematics since October 2022. He is a Handling Editor of the Journal of Nonsmooth Analysis and Optimization and an Editor-in-Chief of the journal Optimization and Engineering since January 2024.
