Regular biography
David Huse is professor of physics at Princeton University. He received his Ph.D. in physics from Cornell University in 1982 and worked at Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill, New Jersey from 1982 to 1996. His research focuses on condensed matter theory, including statistical physics, phase transitions, quantum many-body physics of ultracold atoms, many-body localization, magnetic ordering in materials and spin models, superconductivity, and out of equilibrium quantum dynamics. He is an elected fellow of the American Physical Society and the American Association for the Advancement of Science, a member of the National Academy of Sciences, and a recipient of the Lars Onsager Prize from the American Physical Society in 2022. He has authored over 250 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
