Tim Denison

Tim Denison is the RAE Chair in Emerging Technologies at the University of Oxford, affiliated with the Department of Engineering Science and the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences. He is based at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, Old Road Campus, Oxford. His research interests include biomedical engineering, with a focus on emerging technologies. Denison's work has contributed to advancements in neural networks and biomedical applications. He is also involved in academic and research activities, including collaborations with Oxford Engineering Science and the Institute of Biomedical Engineering.

Prof. Timothy Denison is an Engineering Science researcher at the University of Oxford, specializing in physiologic control systems, mixed-signal electronics, bioelectronics, research tools and methods, and clinical translation. His work focuses on developing neurotechnologies for restoring mobility in individuals with spinal cord injuries and neurological disorders. Key projects include brain–spine interfaces, fully implantable neuromodulation devices, and closed-loop systems for adaptive stimulation. His research integrates advanced electronics with clinical applications, aiming to improve therapeutic outcomes through real-time monitoring and patient-directed control.
