Greg Colyer
Regular biography
Greg Colyer is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on modelling the generation and control of turbulence, computational fluid dynamics code optimization, and plasma simulation. Colyer's doctoral thesis in Theoretical Physics at Oxford addressed turbulent energy transport in the MAST plasma experiment at Culham. He has previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher in planetary atmospheric dynamics at Oxford and at the University of Exeter, and has also been involved in the commercial IT sector and the JPEG international standards committee. Currently, he is working on upgrading the Oxford Turbine Research Facility to produce and manipulate turbulence to match variable target specifications.
