Digby Chappell

Digby Chappell is an Associate Professor of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford, affiliated with the Department of Engineering Science. He is a Tutorial Fellow at St Anne's College and leads the Human Enhancing and Augmenting Technology (HEAT) Lab. His research focuses on creating body-interfacing robots and technology to restore, improve, and transform human abilities. He is a member of the Oxford Robotics Institute and has worked on wearable technology for rehabilitation, particularly post-stroke. Chappell received his PhD from Imperial College London and MEng from the University of Cambridge. His research explores how technology can supplement and extend human musculoskeletal, sensory, and control systems.
