Irem Bozyigit

Dr Irem Bozyigit is a Visiting Researcher in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. Her research interests include cyclic response of fine grained soils, soil response under partially drained conditions, sustainable materials for soil improvement, and soil-structure interaction of wind turbines. She studied civil engineering at Ege University and completed her MSc and PhD there, focusing on geotechnical engineering. Her PhD thesis explored cyclic and postcyclic behaviour of silty soils. She was a visiting PhD student at the University of Exeter in 2019 and joined the University of Oxford in February 2023 to conduct research on soil response under partially drained conditions.

Irem Bozyigit is a researcher specializing in Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering.
