Ram Prasad Bhatta

Ram Prasad Bhatta is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on the design, synthesis, and characterization of materials, with a particular interest in the engineering of smart stimuli-responsive Aggregation-Induced Emission (AIE)-active materials. These materials, including organic, polymer, and composite systems, are explored for applications such as self-healing materials, VOCs sensors, and mechanofluorochromic (MFC) materials for pressure sensing. His current research project involves the development of turn-on MFC materials for surface pressure imaging and stress detection. Bhatta holds a PhD in Material Science from BITS Pilani, India, and has a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Chemistry.
