Ibrahim Bello

Dr Ibrahim Bello is a Research Engineer in the Engineering Science Department at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on smart grids and microgrids, DC-DC power converters, and embedded systems development. He joined the Energy and Power Group in 2019, where he works on developing low-cost and robust microgrid systems for off-grid communities in Africa and South East Asia. Dr Bello obtained a BEng in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (Nigeria), an MSc in Microelectronic Systems and Telecommunications from the University of Liverpool, and a PhD in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Southampton. From 2011 to 2018, he was a lecturer at Ahmadu Bello University with the Department of Computer Engineering.
