Cyril Closset is a Research Fellow at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford, within the Department of Mathematics. His research focuses on mathematical and 'formal' aspects of Quantum Field Theory (QFT) in the presence of supersymmetry, particularly exploring how supersymmetry can enhance understanding of QFT at strong coupling. His work often intersects with string theory and reveals deep mathematical structures. Closset is also a Royal Society University Research Fellow in mathematical physics. His recent publications include studies on Schubert line defects, the 3d A-model, and symmetries in quantum field theories.
