Regular biography

Bill Donnelly is a Hypersonics Wind Tunnel Engineer at the University of Oxford, affiliated with the Engineering Science department. He completed an integrated master's degree in Engineering Science at Lady Margaret Hall between 2021 and 2025. During his studies, he undertook an internship at The Oxford Thermofluids Institute, where he performed design work for the initial stages of the CXT facility under Dr Tobias Hermann. He then completed his Master's project in Dr Hermann's research group, conducting material testing in high temperature plasma flows with the OPG facility. Currently, he works at OTI, maintaining, operating, and upgrading hypersonic testing facilities.
