Doherty Luke
Regular biography
Dr. Luke Doherty is a Departmental Lecturer in High Speed Flows at the University of Oxford, affiliated with the Engineering Science Department. His research focuses on short duration facility development, aerodynamic force measurement techniques, magnetic suspension and balance systems, rarefied flows, and high-speed inlet performance. He has contributed to the development and management of high-speed experimental facilities at the Oxford Thermofluids Institute, including the T6 Stalker Tunnel and the Low Density Tunnel. Dr. Doherty's work includes studies on hypersonic force measurement, satellite re-entry aerothermodynamics, and the commissioning of advanced testing systems. He is also involved in teaching and supervising student projects related to hypersonic flows and experimental aerodynamics.
