About
Regular biography

Dilip Abhinanda is a DPhil Candidate in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. Her research focuses on understanding the behaviour of sands under partial drainage and its implications on soil liquefaction. Her work includes experimental testing and constitutive modelling at the element level to capture partially drained behaviour, with the aim of investigating liquefaction susceptibility assessment methods through numerical analysis. Abhinanda completed her Bachelor of Technology from IIT Guwahati and earned the Institute Silver Medal in Civil engineering. She holds a MSc in Civil and Environmental engineering from University of California, Berkeley, and is a licensed professional engineer in California. She is a recipient of the Oxford-Ashton Graduate scholarship.
