Regular biography

Mark Wilson is a Professor of Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on the development of relatively simple potential models to understand complex condensed phase phenomena. His work involves close collaboration with experimental investigations, including neutron and X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and NMR. Research interests include low-dimensional networks, network-forming liquids and glasses, thermodynamic anomalies, polyamorphism, and molecular anions. His group explores the structural and dynamic properties of materials under extreme conditions and investigates the relationships between network structures and material properties.
