Regular biography
Jamie Wilmore is a Lecturer in Practical Chemistry at the University of Oxford, Department of Chemistry. He delivers and develops the MChem practical course, integrating his expertise in supramolecular chemistry. Wilmore completed his MChem at Trinity College, University of Oxford, and his DPhil under the supervision of Prof. Paul Beer and Prof. Charlotte Williams FRS. His research focuses on supramolecular chemistry, particularly halogen bonding for environmental pollutant sensing. He was awarded an EPSRC Doctoral Prize in early 2024 and became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in August 2024. He was appointed to his current role in September 2024.
