Lorna Smith is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Oxford, affiliated with the Department of Chemistry. Her research focuses on characterising native and non-native protein folds, with applications in understanding disease states, drug design, and food allergies. Her work combines experimental and theoretical approaches, including molecular dynamics simulations and high-resolution NMR techniques. She is also associated with St. Hilda's College as a Peacock Tutorial Fellow. Smith has collaborated with researchers at ETH Zurich and has held fellowships at the Oxford Centre for Molecular Sciences.
