Matt Reveley is a Lecturer in Practical Chemistry at the University of Oxford, Department of Chemistry. He works in the Chemistry Teaching Laboratory to deliver the practical course for the MChem degree, primarily supporting 2nd and 3rd year undergraduate students with a focus on inorganic chemistry. His teaching aims to develop students’ practical and theoretical knowledge, as well as their confidence, preparing them for future careers. Matt completed his MChem degree from the University of Sussex, where his final-year research project investigated the behaviour of ruthenium cyaphide complexes under the supervision of Dr Ian Crossley. He then pursued his DPhil at the University of Oxford under the supervision of Prof. Jose Goicoechea, investigating heteroatomic compounds with multiple bonds between main-group elements. He was appointed to his current role in 2024.
