Yujia Qing is an Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Oxford. Her research focuses on single-molecule chemistry, particularly the study of polymers under nanopore confinement. She investigates chemical reactions at the molecular level using engineered protein nanopores as nanoreactors. Qing's work has been applied to develop a mobile molecule capable of moving biopolymers within a nanopore sensor for sequence analysis. She is also interested in engineering protein nanoreactors for vectorial catalysis. Qing graduated with a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Sheffield and completed an MSc in Pharmacology at Oxford.
