Dr Shurui Miao is a Career Development Research Fellow in Chemistry at the University of Oxford, affiliated with St John’s College. His research focuses on sustainability and self-assembly processes in solution, with an emphasis on understanding the structure, interactions, and dynamics of atoms and small molecules. His work combines physical chemistry techniques to bridge the gap between atomic-scale phenomena and macroscopic properties. Current projects include carbon mineralisation, structure-property relationships of ionic liquids, and the structure of water and phase behaviours.
