Regular biography
Dr Pol Hernández Lladó is a Novo Nordisk Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Stipendiary Lecturer in Chemistry at Jesus College, University of Oxford. His research focuses on developing molecular tools to interrogate biology, with an emphasis on discovering therapeutic targets for metabolic diseases such as diabetes. Currently, he is working on a molecular toolkit for the selective labelling of endogenous GLUT4 to study its trafficking and map its interactome, in collaboration with Novo Nordisk. His academic journey began at the University of Barcelona, where he earned his degree in Chemistry in 2017. He completed his final year research project at Imperial College London under Professor Alan Spivey and later pursued his DPhil in Synthesis for Biology and Medicine at the University of Oxford, supervised by Professor Jonathan W. Burton.
