Regular biography
Charlotte Hancox is a Lecturer in Practical Chemistry at the University of Oxford, Department of Chemistry. She teaches practical chemistry in the Chemistry Teaching Laboratories (CTL), with a focus on Inorganic Chemistry. She is the EDI representative for the CTL. Charlotte completed her undergraduate degree in Natural Science (Chemistry) with the Open University and undertook a final year research project at Johnson Matthey on the Advanced Lithium-Ion Capacitors and Electrodes (ALICE) project. She completed her DPhil at the University of Oxford in the Vincent Group, where her research focused on harnessing biological half reactions for organic synthesis as part of an iCASE studentship with Johnson Matthey. She was appointed to her current role in 2024. Her educational interests include the development of more inclusive teaching practices.
