Véronique Gouverneur is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Oxford, affiliated with the Department of Chemistry. Her research focuses on fluorine chemistry, with an emphasis on developing synthetic methodologies for fluorinated molecules used in disease diagnosis and treatment. She is also involved in sustainable chemistry initiatives, including fluorine recycling and the creation of cost-effective fluorination processes. Gouverneur has led several European research projects and holds two ERC Advanced Grants. She has authored over 220 peer-reviewed publications and 10 patents.
