Dr Mark Ford is a Lecturer in Practical Chemistry at the University of Oxford, affiliated with the Department of Chemistry. His teaching focuses on practical chemistry, particularly in the Chemistry Teaching Laboratory, where he instructs 2nd and 3rd year chemists in physical chemistry, data analysis, and presentation. He is also the principal physical chemistry stipendiary lecturer in St Hugh’s College, responsible for undergraduate tutorial teaching. Dr Ford completed his BSc at the University of York in 1998, followed by a DPhil under Professor Klaus Müller-Dethlefs, and post-doctoral research under Professor Stuart Mackenzie. Since 2024, he has been a Departmental lecturer in practical chemistry.
