Dan Congrave

Dan Congrave is a Research Fellow and Research Fellow in Chemistry at the University of Oxford, affiliated with the Department of Chemistry. His research focuses on interdisciplinary organic chemistry, combining synthetic methods with physical and computational approaches to design novel materials with unique photophysical properties. His work targets applications in solar cells, displays, and quantum information technologies. Congrave holds a MChem degree from Bangor University and a PhD from Durham University, where he studied luminescent all-organic molecules. He has held postdoctoral positions at the University of Cambridge and was awarded a Royal Society University Research Fellowship in 2024 to establish his research group at Oxford. He is also a Research Fellow in Chemistry at St. John’s College.
