Regular biography
Yimon Aye is Professor of Chemistry & Chemical Biology at the University of Oxford, affiliated with the Department of Chemistry. Her research focuses on reactive small-molecule-driven cellular communication processes, including electrophile and nucleotide signalling pathways. She is known for pioneering REX technologies, which enable the study of electrophile-mediated signalling and genome maintenance mechanisms. Aye's work integrates organic chemistry, biochemistry, and molecular biology to explore complex biological processes with implications for human health. She is also a tutorial fellow at Pembroke College. Her research group, the Aye Lab, collaborates with industrial scientists to develop therapeutic and technological interventions.
