Regular biography
Alex McPherson is a Fellow at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, within the BUS department. He is an Entrepreneurship Expert with a background in law, having worked at leading law firms such as Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Hogan Lovells, including client secondments at Goldman Sachs, Tesco, and ExxonMobil. He co-founded Ignition Law in 2015, a law firm focused on start-ups, scale-ups, and entrepreneurial clients, and later co-founded Ignition Financial, a corporate finance and tax boutique. He collaborates with accelerators, incubators, family offices, and universities to support entrepreneurs. Additionally, he is a fellow of the Royal Society for Arts and sits on a corporate advisory board of LexisNexis.
