Regular biography
Ofer Kimchi is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at New York University, affiliated with the Department of MATH. His research focuses on understanding how living systems function, with an emphasis on developing mathematical models and collaborating with experimentalists to explore complex phenomena in biology. His work spans multiple scales, from individual molecules to communities of organisms, and is motivated by the availability of experimental data. Kimchi's research includes pencil-and-paper theory, computational studies, and data-driven approaches. He is based at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, with a website at https://cims.nyu.edu/~ok2294/ and contact information at oferkimchi@nyu.edu.
