Jeff Cheeger is the Silver Professor of Mathematics at New York University, Department of Mathematics. His research focuses on differential geometry and its connections to analysis and topology. His recent work includes the quantitative study of singular sets for geometric nonlinear partial differential equations and the investigation of metric measure spaces with sufficient regularity for differential calculus. His research has involved collaborations with Aaron Naber, Robert Haslhofer, Daniele Valtorta, Bruce Kleiner, and Assaf Naor. Cheeger's publications include studies on Ricci curvature, harmonic maps, and Lipschitz differentiability spaces.
