Xiao Wang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is also a Core Member of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Her research focuses on developing and applying advanced chemical and biophysical tools to study molecular events in the brain. Specifically, her work involves in situ sequencing of nucleic acids to create high-resolution, highly-multiplexed molecular imaging methods. These methods aim to elucidate the physical and chemical basis of brain wiring and function.
